Bits of Yesterday

Friends pose with a prairie icon in the background. This traditional shaped wood elevator of the 1920s could handle 25,000 bushels of grain. One of over 3000 elevators, it was a declaration of a community's economic viability. By the year 2000, only 300 remained.
